Meet Denise, originally from the Netherlands and since ten years calling Napa Valley her home.

Denise is a dynamic force in wellness, management, and creativity. She has a rich background in harmonizing holistic health with strategic leadership (Denise is since ’03 the owner of thriving pilates and wellness company Get Energized and was the CEO for skincare brand H2O plus where the focus was to not only enhance beauty, but mostly promoting a wellness lifestyle).

She thrives on everyday creating and is very excited about the vibrant venture S P I J K E R that came to life with her friend Amanda, merging a passion for fashion with sustainability.

“When unwinding at the end of day, I feel happiest when I was able to create and connect”.

Growing up, both her grandmother and father always had the sewing machine out to create and fix anything with the needle and stitch. At that time out of necessity to save money, but also to do better for the planet and to give clothing a stylish look. Denise takes this with her and is using the piles of old jeans, she saved for years, to bring to life in fresh, stylish sustainable denim bags.
